I never finished these games, and definitely look forward to revisiting and finishing it. The rumors were true! Nintendo announced Metroid Prime Remastered! I imagine this is in anticipation of Metroid Prime 4 (which sadly didn’t get any news) and cannot wait. You can start playing these games now provided you have the required subscription! This takes some pressure off of people who were wanting to grab some of these titles on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U eShops before they close off next month. 3 (including bonus levels from the eReader), WarioWare Inc.: Mega Microgame$, Kuru Kuru Kururin, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap! Additional games teased included Metroid Fusion, Fire Emblem, Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, F-Zero Maximum Velocity, and Golden Sun. There will be three screen filters (Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, and Game Boy Color) and compatible titles will allow local and online multiplayer! Game Boy Advance games do require the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass but launched with Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. THEY FREAKING DID IT! Nintendo is finally adding Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games to the Nintendo Switch Online! The first batch of games includes Tetris, Super Mario Land 2 - 6 Golden Coins, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX, Gargoyle’s Quest, Game & Watch Gallery 3, Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, Metroid II - Return of Samus, Wario Land 3, and Kirby’s Dream Land! Additional titles coming include Pokémon The Trading Card Game, Kirby’s Tilt ‘n’ Tumble, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. I was so excited when they announced Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp is launching in April! I cannot wait! I’m definitely going to be checking out the demo that went live. Sea of Stars also looks absolutely incredible and gives me good SNES JRPG vibes. I’ve never played Bayonetta and so I’m not super hyped for Bayonetta Origins, but the art style is gorgeous! Disney Illusion Island honestly looks like a lot of fun. TRON: Identity looks awesome! I’m a sucker for TRON, but it sounds awesome. I’ve never played a Pikmin game before, but maybe I need to change that this July.
The show started with Pikmin 4 which looks cute and fun. What was your favorite part of the Nintendo Direct? There was quite a bit and you can watch the entire direct at the bottom (starts at about the 30-minute mark), but some of my favorite parts and impressions are elaborated on before then. Some of the bigger games that have fans pumped include Pikmin 4, the addition of Game Boy and Game Boy Advanced games to Nintendo Switch Online services, Metroid Prime Remastered, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The show had some awesome things for fans and left us wanting more.
